What type of property can I purchase?

We consider any residential property, either off-plan or already complete within the UK.

Are there restrictions on the length of the repayment plan?

We currently offer flexible repayment plans between 3-5 years depending on your circumstances.

Can I extend my repayment plan?

The payment plan can be extended. If you would like to extend your repayment plan, this must be raised at the earliest opportunity. We then begin a new application process and confirm any additional associated costs.

What fees are involved?

There are no ‘hidden costs’ with Mutual Capital. As part of the initial application process we will confirm all associated costs, including upfront arrangement fees, ongoing management costs, stamp duty as well as any early repayment charges and penalties that could be applied during the course of the repayment plan.

Will I have to pay Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT)?

Yes, SDLT is applicable on all property purchases within the UK. The SDLT calculations will be advised as part of the application process.

What happens if I am unable to continue the purchase at any point?

If you fall into arrears or difficulty with your payments, please contact our dedicated customer services team at the earliest opportunity to discuss your circumstances. We are here to help and assist you in finding a suitable solution and avoid any associated late payment and default charges where possible.
